Crystal Cove State Park

The whole family went to Crystal Cove State Park, near Newport Coast.  Not as crowded and the beach is really clean.  Darren really like the waves and wanted to dive right in.  Although the total drive was longer than our time spent on the beach, it was still worth it.

Darren and I went to Disneyland today.  Sarah spent time with her grandparents.  It was really hot today and I got tanned.  Darren enjoyed the carousel and Dumbo ride.   He was scared of taking picture with Mickey Mouse.

Hot day today!! Beat the crowd rush though....bonding time with Darren today. We rode the carousel, Dumbo ride and visited toon town.

Chuck E Cheese's Dinner

First time at Chuck E Cheese's and it won't be the last time.  Darren likes the singing characters on stage and he ate almost 2 slices of pizza (amazing!).  There must be something in those pizza; I fell asleep on the couch after arriving home.  Darren is still too young to enjoy the arcade games, he's even scared of the rides.  He enjoyed inserting the tokens.  Kirby/Michelle/Derek/Norman/Erick/Francine/Jack were in attendance.

Darren's 2nd Birthday

Darren, Sarah and I stayed home today since Darren is recovering from his surgery.  Today is Darren's 2nd birthday.  We had planned to go to Chuck E Cheese's but we wanted Darren to fully enjoy the outing.  Therefore, we went to Country Cafe (Taiwanese food) for dinner but he didn't eat much.  The waitresses were chatting with us.  We always go to this restaurant at least once a week.  They have seen Darren grow up, just like family.  We spent $35 (food, drinks and tips) and Doug said we have to cut back....eating too much.
