President's Day 2/18/08

We went to the Aquarium of the Pacific on this federal holiday. Doug is out of town on a business trip so I asked my sister and brother in law to join us. Thank goodness we went early. When we left, the aquarium was packed with people. Darren was scared of the dark but he enjoyed looking for the Dorys (Surgeonfish) and Nemos (Clown fish). Sarah was more interested in touch pools trying to play with water.

Chinese New Year Activities

Chinese New Year fell on Feb 7th Thursday. We had a Vegetarian dinner at Doug's parents. Darren went to school with his traditional Chinese outfit. Sarah was dressed in a red outfit also brought from China. Then we headed to Vegas for a weekend getaway. Ava, the kids' godmother and my sister Lee came with us. It was fun for everyone.

This is a video of Sarah eating yogurt, her 2nd one today. Darren and Sarah loves the mixed flavor like Raspberry Rainbow, Very Berry Watermelon and Cotton Candy from Yoplait Trix. I am just glad they are eating yogurt because their interest in milk and cheese are really low. Sarah is pretty coordinated with the spoon. Lately she wants to eat like the adults, using chopsticks and that has been frustrating for us to explain. Sarah is pretty stubborn in getting her ways.
